My name is Lychee!

Like her fruit namesake, Lychee doesn’t look super inviting from afar, but if you put the time into peeling away her tough outer shell, she’s a sweet softy with “golden retriever energy.”

Lychee is a 7-month-old pup who’s spent most of her young life at Darbster Rescue, arriving at just 4 months old. She’s a medium-sized mix with big eyes, a shy heart, and a whole lot of potential. Right now, the world feels a little scary to her—but that doesn’t mean she’s not curious. With patience, kindness, and a little space to settle in, Lychee blossoms into a loyal, goofy companion.

She’d thrive in a quieter home with a confident dog buddy to show her the ropes and help her build trust. Loud noises and fast movements still spook her, so she’ll need adopters who understand that love and confidence can’t be rushed.
