I adopted Gracie from an animal shelter in Tukwila, WA in 2018 when she was 9 months old. She was removed from her home by a 3rd party due to lack of proper care for her. At the time, I had another sheltie, and they got along well. My other sheltie passed in 2019, and I got a cat in 2020. She gets along well with the cat.
Gracie is very protective of “her” space. This includes the home, the car, her people. She does have boundaries with grooming, and standard dislikes of vacuums, bikes, and skateboards. She can get territorial on her walks, barking at other people or dogs that walk by. She has made a few doggo friends in the neighborhood.
She can be quite snuggly, does get on the furniture, and will sit on you if you’re laying down. She does great with tasks - making frisbee and playing with the ball a couple of her favorites.
She will tell you when you’re about to cross a line - she will growl and show her teeth. She does bark at people when they enter your home.
