My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

She is a six year-old 68 pound Doberman that was brought into the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 2/1 as a stray. When she first came into the shelter she was completely shut down. All the dogs barking terrified her. She shakes and when you go in to interact with her she rolls over as though you’re going to beat her. She’s got a long nose, long legs and has come “a long way baby.` When you show her the leash she will get up and she does walk well on the leash. That is something she did not do when she first got here. After spending some time with her she will cautiously come to you. She will even put her head on your lap. She’s so happy to see one of our volunteers that she wags her little stump of a tail when she sees her. There’s no telling what this girl has gone through. She needs to go to a very quiet, laid-back household where she can come out of her shell and build trust. She needs to be an inside dog where she can learn to love and be loved on.
