Dorthy came to the rescue days old with her sisters Rose, Sophia, and Blanche. The girls were less than 150 grams each and in rough shape. They had been dropped off on a door step in a box. We don’t know how long they went without their mom and they struggled to adapt to being bottle babies.

Dorthy was an active girl from the day she arrived. She was always waiting and ready for her bottle every time her foster came to the incubator to feed her. She was always quick to greet her fosters.

We have a wonderful foster family that works together around the clock to care for our bottle babies. Kittens are very fragile at this stage and require feedings every 2hrs. They’re weighed before and after each feeding. Our fosters keep documentation as they develop to ensure they see any changes in development that may require extra care. We’re very grateful for everything they do as many know this is a very challenging part in rescue including sometimes they don’t survive. It can be very heartbreaking to be a neonate foster but also extremely rewarding.

Dorthy is now a free roaming kitten enjoying her freedom of no longer requiring a hex pen. She runs with the other kittens and loves to play! She loves all sorts of cat toys but mostly loves playing with her sisters.

Dorthy loves to play with her friends and often times zooming through the house. She loves to play with her sister Blanche and friend Paulina. She loves toy springs and crinkle balls. She really likes laser pointers. She's also been raised in a home with a daycare and loves entertaining the kids. Dorthy has come so far in her short life and she can't wait to find her fur-ever family!

All of our adoptable kitties are current on shots, microchipped, altered (if old enough), and litter box trained.
