My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:


I've had Sky since she was a puppy (approximately 6 weeks old). I consider her a rescue because the owner prior to me kept her out in the cold. She had worms and it took time for her to trust me and eat and let me medicate her to get rid of the worms. I believe she wasn't treated well in those very early days before I got her, unfortunately. Sky has become very sweet to and protective of our family & barks at any guest or neighbor. An extremely loyal dog in the home, she does need a lot of work to train her to not bark aggressively at others. She has high anxiety and has a companion (other dog) at home that helps to calm her. My human family has grown and the time and attention she needs is more and more but I find that I can provide less than ever these days. I'd like to find her a home with a kind and patient family to love her as much as she will love them AND invest in training if she is expected to be around new pets and other people a lot. Sky is high energy, loves to play fetch!
