Oreo - This great looking tuxedo with eyes so bright they almost glow is busy discovering everything life has to offer! She especially enjoys lounging in the screened area where she can watch everything going and be ready to join in the next adventure with the other kittens.

When she is not busy chasing toys and playing, Oreo also enjoys quiet moments spent purring contentedly on a volunteer’s lap.

The Animal Refuge Center (ARC) of Fort Myers is a not for profit animal welfare society dedicated to stopping the escalating cost to impound, care for, kill and dispose of dogs and cats dying for no reason other than having been born. ARC is helping to cut the large numbers of homeless animals which eventually cuts the costs to taxpayers, which to date has reached over half a million dollars a year.

ARC is a non-euthanasia organization. Once we accept an animal for adoption, IT WILL NOT BE DESTROYED TO MAKE ROOM FOR ANOTHER. We are here to help the unwanted and neglected animals who now face certain death.
