My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Mormont, a big, loveable teddy bear with the heart of an old soul. Born around December 2014, this gentle giant has a calm demeanor that makes him a truly special companion. Mormont moves slowly and carefully, almost as if he’s savoring every step. His favorite thing in the world is happily basking in all the pets and belly rubs you can spare—he’ll lean into your touch, closing his eyes with a deep, contented sigh, as if soaking up all the love he’s been longing for. His gentle nature shines through in his interactions with everyone he meets. He’s a friend to all: dogs, cats, kids, and even the occasional stranger who can’t resist stopping to say hello. Mormont has a special soft spot for his tiny Chihuahua foster sister, and his patience is unmatched as he lets her climb all over him, displaying the grace of a dog who knows he’s the gentleman of the household. While his age gives him an air of wisdom, Mormont still has plenty of pep in his step. He walks well on a leash, and his playfulness in the backyard with his foster sister is nothing short of adorable. House training remains a bit of a mystery to him—it’s not that he doesn’t want to learn, it’s just that nobody ever taught him. He hasn’t had an easy life. His soulful eyes tell a story of hardship and resilience, but through it all, he’s kept his kind heart and sweet spirit intact. Now, more than ever, he’s ready to leave the past behind and step into a brighter future with someone who will cherish him unconditionally. Mormont doesn’t just need a home; he needs a family who will see the incredible dog he is—one who is loyal, loving, and endlessly forgiving. He’s searching for that special person or family who will offer him the comfort, care, and companionship he’s always deserved. In return, he promises to fill their lives with unwavering love and quiet joy every single day, a reminder that sometimes, the greatest gifts in life are the ones you rescue.
