My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cosmo is a very handsome and happy White Lab mix boy that is 3 years old and 50 pounds.  He came from a dreadful shelter in Memphis TN that is very, very high kill at the drop of a hat.  He was on the euth list because the shelter setting was creating high anxiety for him and he was on and off with some dogs when introduced.  He was not neutered and that anxiety has changed a lot.  We know nothing about his history except  that he was a stray at the shelter.  He is great on a leash and loves to go for car rides after you help him initially get in.  He loves the 6 year old boy at the foster home.  He does well with other dogs outside the house but needs to be the only dog living in the house and no cats please.  He loves to sleep on the bed and hangout with the family.  He is housebroken, crate trained and needs a fenced yard for the freedom of running and regular dog activity.  He is very trainable and has been through one session with a trainer/behaviorist who was impressed with all his potential and fast response to corrections and redirecting.  He is sort of a different personality since he was neutered.  Often that alters and subsides some of the tenseness in male dogs when meeting others.  He would be a wonderful family companion and going on hikes, runs, neighborhood walks, etc. would be such a fun daily activity.  He is not hyper and could be the perfect winter couch potato at all the right moments.  If you are interested in this cream colored Lab please do write to us at Critter Cavalry Rescue, ccrtennessee@gmail.com

PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.

More about this rescue

We are a group of dedicated rescue people who want to save as many dogs and cats from the local shelters before they are euthanized. On the average....there are only 1 out of 10 animals that get adopted from a shelter. We are dedicated to helping increase pet adoptions by offering a shelter animal a foster home to go to while awaiting an adoptive family to find them on our Petfinder website. Won't you please adopt a shelter animal? Or won't you please help us foster a shelter animal while we are looking for their perfect home? What a gift you can give a dog or cat by giving them a place to feel safe and secure....a forever home or a foster home. Won't you help us at Critter Cavalry give them a chance to have a life?
