My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Are you ready for a bundle of joy and endless fun? Croissant is a young (around one-year-old) 70 lb Mastiff mix looking for his forever home! Currently in a board and train program after coming from NYCACC, he has worked very hard to overcome his shyness with new people and learn that humans can be great friends. He is doing so well!! He is also learning obedience, leash walking, recall, and many many other wonderful skills to help him be a well-trained pup. Croissant is a cuddly, loving pile of mush who thinks he is a little lap dog.

Croissant is an active, playful pup who loves tug-of-war, squeaky toys, fetch, and basically any game you can think of! His playful spirit and eagerness to learn make him a fun and engaging companion. He loves other dogs and will do well in a home with other pups to play with.

What Croissant Needs:

- Experienced dog owners who are familiar with large breeds.

- A slow introduction to new people. Once he trusts you, he is extremely loving and sweet.

- No young children – Croissant can be jumpy, but getting better, so he’d do best in an adult-only home or one with older kids.

Croissant is super trainable and eager to please, making him a fantastic student in his training program. He’s a big, playful pup who’s just looking for the right person to help him blossom into the confident, loving dog he’s meant to be.

Additional adoption info

Please DO NOT apply unless the entire family / household is on board with adopting one of our dogs. We must receive an application for you to move forward in the process. Thoughtful direct emails are welcome and will be answered. However, an application is still a necessary step. We want to make sure we find our dogs a perfect fit with a family so both the dog and the family are happy. We keep our dogs with fosters once we get them out of shelters for a little bit to learn and understand their personalities. Our relationship with families doesn't stop at adoption! We are always available for any follow up questions and are happy to be a resource as you and your new pet settle into a routine.
