My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Oh, hey. Didn’t see you there—I was busy being effortlessly majestic. The name’s Lichen, and much like my namesake, I grow on you. I’m a long-haired vision in white, floating through life like a cloud with impeccable vibes. I don’t rush—why would I? I prefer to take things at my own pace, whether that’s soaking up the sun, surveying my domain from a prime perch, or bestowing my humans with my highly exclusive affection. I won’t demand attention like some of those needy felines (<cough> amateurs), but when I decide it’s time for snuggles? Oh, you’ll feel the honor. Think of me as a fine wine—smooth, refined, and best enjoyed with patience.  So, if you’re looking for a chill, sophisticated companion who knows he’s got the purr-sonality of a feline supermodel, I just might be the cat you’ve been lichen for.

Go meet their pets

We will be holding adoption event days with PetSmart on Ft Jackson Blvd and Two Notch Rd as well as PetSense on Garners Ferry Rd. These are partnerships that we've initiated and that have been greeted with open arms by these great organizations. MUCH More to Come!

More about this rescue

At Cat Around Town Project, we believe that by spaying and neutering as many stray and colony cats as possible, we are proactively controlling overpopulation at its source. All kittens and any cats that are adoptable are removed from the colonies and adopted to suitable homes. One day, when the supply meets the demand, there will be a home waiting for every kitten in our community. .
