Take the Pet Home
Meet Chulsoo, a 5-year-old neutered male Jindo mix with a beautiful black and brown coat, weighing in at 16.7kg. Rescued from a high-risk shelter, this sweet boy has a gentle soul and is looking for a loving home where he can continue to blossom.
Chulsoo can be a little shy at first, but offer him a treat, and he’ll gladly take it! Once he warms up, he enjoys being petted, though he’s still getting used to being touched by strangers. His confidence is growing through frequent social interactions on walks, where he’s learning that new people—especially men—aren’t so scary. While he tolerates being picked up, it’s not his favourite thing.
When it comes to other dogs, Chulsoo is an absolute social butterfly! He loves making new friends, whether they’re familiar faces or first-time encounters. He’s especially fond of dogs his size or smaller and tends to avoid conflict rather than engage. In fact, he finds comfort in canine companionship and often feels more at ease when other dogs are around.
He is living with three cats in his foster home, stays focused on his people, even when spotting cats during walks. His energy level is moderate—he’s always up for outdoor adventures but settles down nicely afterward. A seasoned walker, he keeps a loose leash, follows his handler well, and has no issues walking with new people.
Chulsoo has excellent manners—he never guards food, rarely barks (except for an excited “hello” when his favourite humans come home), and is crate-trained. He even hops into the car on his own and rides quietly. A true outdoor potty pro, he patiently waits for his walks to do his business.
One thing to note: Chulsoo was born with a congenital anomaly in his front right ankle, which causes a slight imbalance when he stands for long periods. However, it doesn’t affect his ability to walk, run, or enjoy life to the fullest!
