This sweet dog belonged to an elderly couple in our neighborhood. When they passed away, squatters took over the residence, taking poor care of the house and dog. The squatters were evicted in Oct. 2024 and left the dog behind. He's been on his own until now. He was so traumatized that whenever the manager of the estate tried to get his hands on him, he'd hide in the labyrinth of trash left in the backyard. I offered to hop the fence and have a try at getting him. Today, I successfully got him out. He'll be staying at my place until we find his forever home.
He seems to be a chihuahua/Boston boxer mix. A small adult. No medical issues that I know of. He may be chipped. But like I said, his owners have passed away. We've had a lovely day together. He's very friendly, housebroken, and is getting along beautifully with my child and other dog. Quiet, cuddly, and very glad to get a bath and nice place to rest. Currently in the Northridge area of Los Angeles.
