Meet Bacon!

Bacon is a stunning 6-month-old black kitten with a story as unique as his name. Found running feral inside a Petco, this little guy started out as a very scared and spicy kitten. But with months of patience, love, and gentle care from his foster family, Bacon has blossomed into a much more confident and curious young cat.

Now, Bacon enjoys hanging out with his foster family, lounging on the top of the sofa, gazing out windows, and playing with his favorite toys. He has also grown comfortable around the resident cats and dogs in his foster home. While he’s made incredible progress, Bacon is still a cautious kitty when meeting new people. He will thrive in a patient and understanding home that will give him the time and space he needs to feel safe and truly come out of his shell.

Bacon is neutered and ready to begin his next chapter in a loving forever home. Could that be with you?

All of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.

ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location.

Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. We understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.

Once your application is approved you will be contacted by the rescue and discuss the dog you are interested in and transportation.

Adoptions include spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip, health certificate and transportation.

More about this rescue

We're a home-based rescue, so there's always someone around to care for the dogs. Most of our dogs are allowed to roam the main yard (as long as they behave themselves), and we have several food and water stations throughout. Every evening, the dogs are tucked into our kennel building with soft bedding.

Our focus is family-friendly dogs who get along with everyone. Of course, we sometimes don't know a dog's temperament until we meet, but we work hard to ensure dogs are going to the right homes for them.

Mission Statement
To provide rescue, rehabilitation and new loving homes for dogs that have been living on the street, abused, abandoned and removed from high kill shelters.
