My name is Frieda!

Meet Frieda! She is an 8-9 yr old female German Shepherd that weighs 52lbs. She came into the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 2/1 as a stray. This precious senior girl has a gentle, loving mellow personality. She enjoys going for walks, and taking in all the smells of the shelter yard. She enjoys being petted, knows the sit command and takes treats gently. Still with all the noise at the shelter she is timid and nervous. It appears she has a cataract in her left eye, and a small growth on the edge, but she doesn’t let that stop her. She still has many more years ahead of her. She hopes to find her final loving home, where she can enjoy playing in a secured backyard, but come back inside and be cuddly close to her human companions. She has been dog tested and did well, but we do always ask if you have another dog in the home to please ask the shelter for a dog test. She is a volunteer favorite as she has captured our hearts.
