Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Achilles came to Elmore SPCA as a stray and after no one came forward to claim him, he is now looking for his perfect forever. He is heartworm positive, but we don't want that to keep him from finding his perfect family. He has started his treatment, which is a lengthy process, but Elmore SPCA and the veterinarian that we work with will help his new family through every step of the process. He is a sweet adult dog, who just wants to be loved, oh and he will take any treats he can get as well.
**We are looking for a quiet foster home or a forever home for this sweet boy so he doesn't have to go through the healing process here in the shelter.

*Shelter space is guaranteed (on a 24/7 basis) to stray dogs brought in by dog control officers from towns that contract with Elmore SPCA.

*Per NYS Ags & Mrkts Law, to redeem a dog the owner must provide valid up-to-date licensing and rabies vaccination, and pay the town's/city's redemption fee.

*Owners surrenders are addressed by individual circumstances. Additional efforts, such as courtesty PetFinder listings, can be provided to help owners rehome their pets.
