Zara came to Elmore SPCA after her home burned down and her owner couldn't keep her in their temporary home. She is a sweet girl with lots of energy. She is playful and would love to have a partner to throw the ball for her! She is having a hard time here in the shelter, and is really looking forward to finding a new family to love her.

*Shelter space is guaranteed (on a 24/7 basis) to stray dogs brought in by dog control officers from towns that contract with Elmore SPCA.

*Per NYS Ags & Mrkts Law, to redeem a dog the owner must provide valid up-to-date licensing and rabies vaccination, and pay the town's/city's redemption fee.

*Owners surrenders are addressed by individual circumstances. Additional efforts, such as courtesty PetFinder listings, can be provided to help owners rehome their pets.
