Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hunter is a shy girl who wants to be loved quietly. Loud noises and fast movements make her nervous but once she gets used to you she will happily be held. Hunter is not a fan of the shelter life due to the constant action around her but would be more than happy if you came to meet her. ***Petfinder inquiries are not monitored by Elmore SPCA***

Every attempt will be made to answer the large volume of calls as they come in, but our small staff may be busy with animal care and adoption processing, so no one may be available to answer. *Shelter space is guaranteed (on a 24/7 basis) to stray dogs brought in by dog control officers from towns that contract with Elmore SPCA.

*Per NYS Ags & Mrkts Law, to redeem a dog the owner must provide valid up-to-date licensing and rabies vaccination, and pay the town's/city's redemption fee.

*Owners surrenders are addressed by individual circumstances. Additional efforts, such as courtesty PetFinder listings, can be provided to help owners rehome their pets.
