My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Orange came to Elmore SPCA while his owner was battling cancer. He has only ever known his owner and his apartment, so the move to shelter life was a challenging one for him. He has started to settle in and is getting on well with the other cats in the colony. He doesn't like to be picked up, but is happy to be petted. He loves to find a good snuggly bed and curl up. Our favorite is when he picks the banana bed and makes an accidental fruit salad. If you are looking to add a little sweetness to your home, Orange is a great choice! ***Petfinder inquiries are not monitored by Elmore SPCA***

*Shelter space is guaranteed (on a 24/7 basis) to stray dogs brought in by dog control officers from towns that contract with Elmore SPCA.

*Per NYS Ags & Mrkts Law, to redeem a dog the owner must provide valid up-to-date licensing and rabies vaccination, and pay the town's/city's redemption fee.

*Owners surrenders are addressed by individual circumstances. Additional efforts, such as courtesty PetFinder listings, can be provided to help owners rehome their pets.
