My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Lady! Lady came to CCHS with her brother, Tramp, towards the end of January from a local farm. This little Lady is a 9-week-old Mini-Aussie mix and weighs 4lbs currently. Our veterinary staff determined that Lady, much like her brother Tramp, is blind. This hasn't slowed her down one bit and she is still as sassy as can be! While Lady does have a sassy side, she only shows it when she wants you to show her loving! Although we aren't certain what her exact breed makeup is, we can tell you she is 100% your next best friend. Lady is very attached to her brother Tramp, and will need to be adopted with him. With any puppy, training and socialization are incredibly important to the success of the pup. Apply for Lady and Tramp today!

Approved applicants will be notified via email. Please check junk/spam folders for a response.

The adoption fee is $400. Adoption applications can be filled out at CCHS or online through our website, www.cchs-petshelter.org. Applications are not first come, first served. All applications will be reviewed by the adoption committee and the home chosen will be the one considered to be the best match. All dogs and puppies have been vaccinated for Distemper and Bordetella, dewormed and microchipped. If old enough, they will be vaccinated for Rabies and blood tested for Heartworm, Lymes, Anaplasmosis and Ehrlichiosis. Dogs and puppies will be spayed or neutered before adoption.

CCHS is proud to be a No-Kill Humane Society. As a private, non-profit charity, our work depends on donations and volunteers to keep going. We are committed to helping the animals that enter our doors and finding each the best possible forever home. CCHS has been inspected and licensed by the Department of Animal Health - DATCP. Our license is #268235-DS.

More about this shelter

We care for the homeless and needy cats and dogs in our area. We provide for their medical and emotional needs while they are with us, while continuing to search for new homes and families. We also sponser 'FixaPet', a low-cost spay/neuter program available to anyone from anywhere.

Why do we do it? Because the animals need us and it's the right thing to do! :o)
