My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

** ARIZONA ONLY ** PHOENIX METRO AREA ** Artie is an incredible, beautiful and exceptional white mini Schnauzer (we were told when rescued) and he sure looks like one. That said, he has the tail of a Lakeland Terrier, a breed that looks very much like a schnauzer -- so there is a possibility...... He is full grown, 2-3 years old, and 21 pounds. This little boy is so full of love and just wants to be close to his people. He is such a good boy! We would like there to be another friendly dog in the home for Artie - a dog that is similar in size and playfully compatible. He loves dogs, loves toys, loves to play, loves people, loves life. He is SO special I want to cry!! Artie is seeking a home with a safe backyard for his potty breaks and play-time, a yard that has some turf or grass and is nicely manicured. He is not a candidate for apartment or condo living. Artie is an indoor dog who would be glad to lie near your feet if you work from home, follow you around the house to make sure everything in your world is happy, and be there for you when you need some love in your heart. He truly is as great as they come and we are seeking a family for him equally as great. Artie would be fine in an adult home but he is also good with children. Any children in the family should be at least ten years old and extremely kind in nature, very responsible and respectful. We want the best for him. If that is you, please let us know. Artie is health checked, microchipped, neutered, licensed, and current on vaccines. He will go home with harness and leash, plus collar and ID tag. We can set up a meet & greet upon approved application. Please email to request one.

More about this rescue

We are a small foster-based group who helps owners who can no longer care for their dogs, or if someone passes and there is no family to take the dog, we can place the dog in a foster home, vet the dog, and then after personality assessment, will make the dog available for adoption.

Also, based on foster availability, we take in stray dogs and diligently look for owners. We have a good track record for reuniting pets with their families, but in the cases where no owner surfaces, we vet the dogs and prepare them for adoption, all while they are in a safe and loving foster home.
