My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Run, don't walk, to meet the marvelous Poppy! At 15 lbs of diluted ginger fluff, she’s the perfect mix of independent and affectionate—happy to lounge in sunny spots, enjoy chin scratches, and keep an eye on the world from a cozy window perch.

Easygoing and gentle, Poppy gets along well with calm cats and would love a peaceful home where she can relax and soak up the love. She’s spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, and has had dental work done—she's all ready to settle in with her forever family.

Requires another cat in the home: No
Good with other cats: Yes, with proper introductions
Would be fine with young kids (under 10): Yes
Good with dogs: Yes, with proper introductions
Home activity level: Quiet to average
Health concerns or special needs: She recently had a dental cleaning with extractions. She also had a mass on her hip removed that ended up being cancerous. However, we were told that kind of mass will not spread to other areas of her body. Future adopters will just need to monitor for regrowth.

We believe this kitten/cat was born around 1-5-2016. It is fostered in a private home in Lincoln. The adoption fee is $125 which covers age appropriate vaccines and dewormings, a microchip, FIV/FeLV testing, and a spay/neuter. The adoption fee helps cover the cost of these vetting procedures. If you’re interested in adopting this kitten/cat, please submit an inquiry or email BraveAnimalRescue@gmail.com to ask about our adoption process (please check your spam or junk email if you do not hear back from us within a few business days). We are 100% volunteer staffed and will respond to your email as soon as possible. After you have submitted an application and been approved, we will set up a meet and greet between you and the kitten/cat. Meet and greets are held virtually via Zoom and we offer a trial period to ensure your cat/kitten is a match. Please be sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram to learn more about Brave Animal Rescue and our mission.

More about this rescue

We are an entirely foster-based rescue in Lincoln, Nebraska. Because we do not have a physical shelter location, our animals are placed directly into foster homes where they immediately begin learning how to be outstanding companion animals.
