My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Copper and I am one of a litter of five puppies. I have a sister named Tickette and three brothers, Speed, Crash and Cruiser. We come by our names honestly. On the day we were going to be euthanized, the Country Dog Rescue lady Thelma asked her friend Louise (the names have been changed to protect the innocent) to ride with her to the kill shelter so she would feel safe. Thelma planned to meet Louise in a parking lot so both ladies could ride up together in the rescue car. As Thelma pulled into the parking lot, A POLICEMAN WAS PARKED NEXT TO LOUISE IN HIS POLICE CAR WITH LIGHTS FLASHING. Louise got a speeding ticket because she was going seven miles over the limit! Thelma laughed and said "No good deed goes unpunished". She thought it would be funny to give each of us a "clever theme name" so that each time Louise held and kissed us she would remember to DRIVE SLOWLY. Louise does love me but who wouldn't? I am a very tiny young mini-Beagle type puppy with lots of spunk and beautiful tan and white fur. My siblings and I are still in "detention" until everyone is sure we are healthy; we will be ready for adoption on September 12th. Come and see us and share some puppy breath! Love, Copper Copper is up-to-date with routine shots. Country Dog Rescue
