My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Meet Ranger! He is one of Sally's puppies, rescued from the streets of Texas when he was just a day or two old. We believe that Sally is a mix of Rat Terrier and Jack Russell Terrier, but we don't know the identity of the father. The puppies are currently of various sizes. Ranger weighs a whopping 16 pounds right now, so he is likely going to be a larger breed dog, potentially weighing 50 pounds or more when fully grown—but who knows? We just want you to be prepared!

Ranger is a handsome boy who definitely catches your eye with his tri-color coat and freckled legs. His nubby little tail is incredibly cute. While he can be more reserved compared to his boisterous siblings and foster friends vying for attention, he still jumps in to give kisses and licks! Ranger is very playful with other dogs and knows how to be gentle as well. He is ready to shine in his forever home and is sure to become an amazing dog in no time!

Every puppy is a little blank slate just waiting for some love and training to help them become amazing dogs! They’re bursting with energy and always up to some fun antics that will keep you smiling. These smart and funny little furballs are eager to please and would make the perfect companion for anyone looking for a friend to brighten their days. If you’re in search of a playful buddy to keep you on your toes, these pups might just be your ideal match!

The puppies are current on their age-appropriate vaccinations, have been dewormed, and are microchipped. The male puppies are scheduled for neutering on February 14th, while the females will be spayed on February 26th at Operation Pets. It is the adopter's responsibility to take them to their appointments. The cost of the spay/neuter procedure is included in the adoption fee and will be fully explained in our contract.  The adoption fee is $450

Please go to our website and read about the dog there as well as all pertinent info. for adopting this dog. IF THERE IS INFORMATION NOT INCLUDED IN THE DOGS PROFILE THAT IS NECESSARY FOR YOU TO MAKE A DECISION AS TO WHETHER ,,,GENERALLY SPEAKING,,,,THIS DOG IS A GOOD FIT FOR YOUR FAMILY, THEN PLEASE GO AHEAD AND EMAIL WITH THAT SPECIFIC QUESTION. We will be happy to answer questions not already covered in the thorough amount of info already printed on our website. www..pixiemamasrescue.com
We are all volunteers with jobs and families and probably more dogs than you, so please understand that we are very busy. We are not able to keep up with the constant general questions and phone call requests that, with a little time and reading on your part, is already included on our website. Replying to all emails makes it very difficult to do our jobs as well as we would like.
All dogs who have adoptions PENDING, will have that info printed right next to their name. Having a pending adoption does not make it a done deal, it means that we are at the home visit/meet and greet phase of the adoption and it could go one way or another so feel free to check back on the status of the dog in question.
We do not have a facility for you to come and visit our dogs. They are in our homes, sleeping in our beds and lounging on our sofa. We value our privacy and do not open our homes to visitors wanting to meet "all the dogs".
Thank you for your interest in our wonderful Pixie Mamas pooches. Without you adopters we could not continue to do what we do. We appreciate your time and effort as well ,to comply with what is needed for us to keep Pixie Mamas Rescue going with as little stress and extra time as necessary.
Our adoption fees start at $200, some highly adoptable dogs are more and others are less - that will be stated in their profiles.
Good luck in finding the right dog for your family.

More about this rescue

Pixie Mamas Rescue (PMR) is a group of volunteer dog lovers whose mission is to rescue, provide sanctuary, and ultimately to re-home abandoned, stray and neglected dogs. We also assist dogs who, because of extenuating circumstances, are unable to remain in their homes. We aid in the rescue of small breed dogs. We are located in Western New York.
All PMR dogs are housed in foster homes where they are provided with an enormous amount of love and any medical attention that may be required to insure that they are in good health before adoption. They are all spayed or neutered and brought up-to-date on shots before being placed in their new homes.
All dogs are evaluated for temperament and personality. This helps us to place them in homes that are well suited to their needs and to the needs of their future owners.
