My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

JUSTICE and FREEDOM are a bonded pair of young adult brothers looking for a loving forever home. This intelligent and energetic pair were rescued on the 4th of July, and named accordingly!  FREEDOM is a distinctive black and white tuxedo, and JUSTICE is a very large and handsome black panther!  Freedom is becoming friendlier and more outgoing with each passing day, especially under the influence of his sociable brother Justice who has taught him how wonderful it is to receive pets and loves. They will snuggle with their foster mom, and enjoy sitting on her lap for pets during TV time, or cuddling in bed.  These boys enjoy bird watching in sunny windows, climbing the cat tower, cat caves, and play-wrestling with each other.  They are still a bit scared of loud noises and can be shy with new people until acclimated.  Freedom and Justice will thrive in a calm, quiet environment, and will make wonderful and entertaining companions.

They have been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, are negative for FeLV and FIV, and include a free wellness visit with our vet partners.  To meet JUSTICE and his brother FREEDOM in foster care, submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at the store. A volunteer will contact you within 3-5 business days for a possible meet and greet. The $280 adoption fee for the pair allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All potential adopters are required to complete our application and contract. It is available on our website: https://catrescues.org/forms/cat-adoption-contract/ A paper copy is available at our adoption sites. Our contract stipulates the requirements for care of our pets. The documents are reviewed by our staff and together with a face to face interview we explore the potential new home. If all parties agree to the specifics of the contract the cat can go home. Adoption fee varies with age of pet.
All pets are current on vaccinations, health checked by our veterinarian, have been de-wormed, treated with flea medication at intake, spayed or neutered, and have been microchipped and tested for felv/fiv tested.

More about this rescue

Our mission is to provide care and find loving homes for cats and kittens of our community, with a focus on those with special needs. Currently we only work with Cats. We offer temporary housing in foster homes until they can be placed through our adoption process. We have adoption centers within both Petsmarts in Eugene, at Chad Drive, near Costco, and 29th and Willamette, at Wags Dog Emporium on Coburg Rd and the Eugene-Springfield Cat Lounge. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network works with humane societies, other animal rescue groups, the public and government animal services agencies to offer them relief from their overpopulation problem. All cats in our custody receive the medical care they need. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network is a non-profit organization. All money raised is used to help Cat Rescue & Adoption Network save as many animal lives as possible.
