My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Odette is a 12-week-old mixed breed sweetheart with a whole lot of charm! She’s the kind of pup that wins hearts wherever she goes. While we can’t say for certain what her breed mix is, our veterinarian’s best guess includes American Staffordshire Terrier, Labrador Retriever, Kelpie, and a generous helping of pure adorable mystery.

Odette and her littermates had a rough start—discovered in an abandoned building in Texas. Luckily, our amazing friends at Waterford Wags swooped in to save them and reached out to us for help. After lots of love, good food, and belly rubs, Odette is thriving! She’s even bouncing back beautifully from a little skin mishap (nothing gruesome, we promise—her gorgeous coat is growing in wonderfully).

She’s up to date on immunizations, dewormed, microchipped, and ready to find her adoptive home!

At Blackberry Point Haven, we believe adoption should be fun and meaningful, not filled with red tape. That’s why we follow the ASPCA guidelines for conversation-based adoptions—no lengthy applications, no home invasions, just thoughtful discussions to ensure the best match for both pup and family.

Additional adoption info

we are going to follow the National No Kill Advocacy Guidelines, which recommend conversation-based adoptions and education to find a good home. Ensuring a good home doesn’t require excessive arbitrary rules. Adopters have many options when it comes to finding their new best friend, and making the decision to adopt rather than go to a more convenient pet store or breeder shouldn’t be a difficult process.
