My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

PRINCESS PEACH is a pretty little short-haired dilute torbie -- a cross between a dilute (pale) tortoiseshell and a brown tabby.  She can be shy in new situations, but once she knows and trusts you, she is a loving lap-sitter.  She's been a great mama to her four babies (Yoshi & Toad are two of her babies).  Princess Peach is now ready for her own loving forever home!  Her favorite toys are pipe cleaners, but she enjoys interacting with her humans even more.  She came to our cat rescue group from a home where she and her babies got lots of attention, but they were unable to stay due to a no pet policy.  This sweet girl will take a little time to acclimate, but once she gets comfortable with you, she won't leave your side.

PRINCESS PEACH has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, is negative for FeLV and FIV, and includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners. To meet PRINCESS PEACH at the Cat Lounge, please fill out an Adoption Application for consideration at catrescues.org/adopt, and an adoption counselor will contact you for a possible meet-and-greet at the Eugene Springfield Cat Lounge, 537 W. Centennial Blvd., Springfield.   The $155 adoption fee allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All potential adopters are required to complete our application and contract. It is available on our website: https://catrescues.org/forms/cat-adoption-contract/ A paper copy is available at our adoption sites. Our contract stipulates the requirements for care of our pets. The documents are reviewed by our staff and together with a face to face interview we explore the potential new home. If all parties agree to the specifics of the contract the cat can go home. Adoption fee varies with age of pet.
All pets are current on vaccinations, health checked by our veterinarian, have been de-wormed, treated with flea medication at intake, spayed or neutered, and have been microchipped and tested for felv/fiv tested.

More about this rescue

Our mission is to provide care and find loving homes for cats and kittens of our community, with a focus on those with special needs. Currently we only work with Cats. We offer temporary housing in foster homes until they can be placed through our adoption process. We have adoption centers within both Petsmarts in Eugene, at Chad Drive, near Costco, and 29th and Willamette, at Wags Dog Emporium on Coburg Rd and the Eugene-Springfield Cat Lounge. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network works with humane societies, other animal rescue groups, the public and government animal services agencies to offer them relief from their overpopulation problem. All cats in our custody receive the medical care they need. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network is a non-profit organization. All money raised is used to help Cat Rescue & Adoption Network save as many animal lives as possible.
