My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kona is a 4-year-old male Lab/Spaniel mix who has already been neutered.  He was originally adopted as a puppy; and now is a return adoption because his owner thought he was too active.  Kona has a short coat that is chocolate brown with beautiful white markings.  He is a large adult dog who weighs 56 pounds. Kona is playful, very active, and would need a nice, securely, fenced yard where he could safely play. Kona enjoys a nice car ride; and he is both crate trained and house trained. He is frightened by loud noises--gun shots, fireworks, thunderstorms, etc.  Can you imagine how scared and overwhelmed he must be at the shelter with all the noises of barking dogs? You can see the worry in this sweet boy's eyes ; and notice the tucked tail. Kona needs to be in a home so he can relax and warm up to his new family.  He would be good with older children and other dogs.  If you have another dog, we suggest a 'meet and greet' with your dog before adoption.

Dog/puppy adoption fees are $100.  Cat/kitten adoption fees are $50.
