Fostering Hazel Grace has been an absolute joy! Her foster has been calling her Gracie and she is the perfect mix of playful and snuggly! She loves romping with other dogs her size and is just as happy curling up in your lap for TV time or a cozy nap. Whatever you are doing, Gracie wants to be right there with you.
Gracie is now house-trained and does well with supervision in a new environment. Crate-trained and a great sleeper, she happily goes into her crate for meals, bedtime, and when left alone for short periods. She eats best in her crate to stay focused and avoid distractions.
Gracie is incredibly smart and picks up commands quickly. She knows to wait at doors and gates, “here” to come when called, “get back”, “leave it alone”, and “off” to not jump up on me to keep all four paws on the ground. With her long legs, speed, and eagerness to learn, she would love to try agility!
Since we have spent a lot of time indoors during the colder months, she can be a bit cautious with new people but warms up quickly. She requires a home with a playful small dog companion and a fenced backyard to explore.
Gracie is ready to bring her playful spirit and loving snuggles to her forever home!

Since our formation in early 2013, we have helped save thousands of cats and dogs throughout Idaho from neglect, abuse, and death. Many of our rescues come from the Burley Idaho Animal Shelter where PAWS has transformed what was once a high kill facility to a shelter where every adoptable animal gets a second chance! PAWS also takes in stray pets from all over Idaho including Twin Falls, Boise, Nampa, and Caldwell. We work our very hardest to respond to every call for help!
PAWS Rescue, Inc. saves all breeds of cats and dogs of all ages as well as animals who have been hit by cars, shot, abandoned, abused, and neglected.
Rescued animals are placed in loving foster homes or transferred to other no kill partner facilities giving them a chance to find the perfect forever home. Our efforts give these deserving animals a second chance at a happy life.
Every animal receives veterinary evaluation and care, including spay/neuter and vaccines, as well as treatment for any other medical issue they may have. No animal is ever euthanized due to expense.
