Dog Name: Bubba
Sex: Male
Neuter Status: Neutered
Estimated Breed Mix: Lab Mix
Approximate DOB: 4/29/24
Approximate Weight: 50 lbs
Description: Bubba was found starving and frail as a stray in Texas. It's so lucky he was discovered and got medical care when he did!
He's currently the dog that we've had available for the longest. During that time we've learned a lot about him and he's doing AMAZINGLY WELL in his current foster home. He had some behavioral challenges that needed to be worked though, but you would never catch a glimpse of those issues today! In his current foster home, he has 2 doggo brothers that are bigger than him and great teachers. When it's time for treats, Bubba knows to wait his turn and that he always gets his treat third!
We think he would do best in a home with a playful/active doggo to play with Bubba, or a very active owner.
At events he meets children and has done so well with all of them as well! That being said, we think he would do better with older children who can both understand and express boundaries.
He loves ice, water, food and toys.
Overall- he's a fun, active, sweet boy. He loves to snuggle his humans, especially while he catches a quick nap. He's a quick learner too- he knows sit, shake and come. He has really great recall and goes by the door to ask to go potty. He even goes right in his crate when it's bed time.
Bubba has been waiting for someone to realize how special he is! This handsome guy deserves a furever home. Could your home be the right fit for Bubba?
Adoption Fee: $350
We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433
***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians.
If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following:
Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped.
If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs once they're at least 6 months old. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months, they will need to be spayed/neutered by your veterinarian when they are between 6 to 8 months old. Proof that the spay/neuter has been completed will need to be submitted to Tailwaggers911. Once proof of the spay/neuter has been received, we will refund $100 of your adoption fee via Venmo, PayPal or have a check in the mail within 15 days.
Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home.
If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home.
If a dog is listed as ADOPTION IN PROCESS, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all.
Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out.
