Meet Cocoa!

Cocoa is a sweet, affectionate puppy who is always ready for snuggles and love. She has a calm and gentle nature, making her the perfect companion for anyone looking for a laid-back, loving best friend. While she enjoys playtime and fun adventures, Cocoa’s favorite place to be is right by her people, soaking up all the love and attention she can get. Her warm, cuddly personality makes her a true comfort pup, always ready to bring joy and affection to those around her.

Cocoa was born on December 14th into a difficult situation. She, her sister, and their parents were strays struggling to survive on their own. Their little family was rescued just in time thanks to an incredible community and a dedicated trapper. With love, care, and lots of determination, they have grown into happy, healthy, and loving pups.

Now, Cocoa is ready to find a forever family to call her own. She is currently in a foster home in Colorado, waiting for the perfect home where she will be loved, spoiled, and cherished for the incredible pup she is. All of our dogs are located in a foster home in Texas or Colorado. Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. As a Mutts N Such direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc).

Our out of state adoption fee is $350 plus transport (varies by location). This fee includes all current vaccinations, deworming, a registered microchip, fecal analysis, spay/neuter for pets 6 months & older, and a heartworm test if over 6 months old. All dogs will be current on flea/heartworm prevention. A health exam will be completed and a certificate issued by a veterinarian within 10 days. The initial phase of our adoption protocol involves prospective adopters completing an adoption application.

Following submission, our administrative team conducts a thorough review, and if approved, the application is then forwarded to the animal's foster.

Subsequently, a phone interview is scheduled to address follow-up queries, provide additional information about the pet, and acquaint the adopter with our organization. If the interview is successful, arrangements are made for a meet and greet, along with a home visit. For pets adopted out of state, the meet and greet and home visit are conducted virtually.

The final steps in our adoption process include verification of identification, finalization of the adoption contract, and payment of the adoption fee.
