My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tucker is a sweet, friendly 8 month old mixed breed who currently weighs about 30 lbs. His foster says he is the goofiest boy who loves to cuddle, run the yard and play with his doggie foster sibling.

He isnt a fan of early mornings, he'd rather snooze and snuggle. Once he's got the doggy equivalent of coffee he's ready for action! He would love to have a doggy playmate or older kid to run around with and burn off that puppy energy. A fenced in backyard would keep him safe and provide room for zoomies, running, and fun times. He is good with other dogs, even when eating next to each other. His foster home has another pup and they are best buddies. He also takes treats gently and loves to snuggle at the end of an active day. A tired dog is a happy dog!

Tucker will let you know when he needs to go out for potty so dont ignore those signals! He knows how to sit and is good on a short lead but could use some structured obedience training like most pups his age.

If you think Tucker sounds like the dog you've been looking for, apply at www.caninecollective.org. If you have a dog in the household, please bring him/her along so they can exchange sniffs and make sure both approve.

Our adoption process takes several steps and cannot be completed in one day. All of our volunteers work full time and assist the rescue in their spare time. Please allow 2-3 business days for a response.

* Applicants must be willing to make a ten plus year commitment to their new family member.

* Applicants must commit to daily exercise, walks, trips to the dog park or play in the back yard. A well exercised dog is a happy well behaved dog!

* Applicants living in a rental property must provide proof of pet policy from landlord.

* Applicants must provide a veterinarian reference and if there are existing dogs in the household. All pets must be spayed/neutered and current on all shots and heartworm medication.

*Please allow at least a 7-14 day adjustment period for your new dog. Rescue dogs go thru a lot of changes and need a few days to get used to their new surroundings and adjust. Adopting a dog should be a serious commitment, so please be willing to work out the kinks. Our dogs aren't perfect but with proper training and guidance they make awesome, loving pets.

*Our adoption fees vary based on the age and medical needs of the dogs.
