My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Lil’ Debbie, the resilient mama with a heart of gold! This brave girl came to FMAR under heartbreaking circumstances—pregnant and thrown from a moving car—but her strength and spirit never wavered. Thankfully, she escaped without injury and went straight into a loving foster home, where she gave birth to her beautiful kittens.

Lil’ Debbie has flourished in her foster home, forming strong bonds with the other adult cats she adores. She’s proven to be a true cat’s cat, enjoying their companionship and thriving in their company. However, when it comes to dogs, Lil’ Debbie is clear: she’s not a fan, especially of the grumpy old dog in her foster home.

We’re confident Lil’ Debbie will thrive in a home with feline friends, but she would be happiest in a dog-free environment where she can enjoy the love and peace she so richly deserves. If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal, and resilient companion who loves other cats, Lil’ Debbie could be the perfect addition to your family!

More about this shelter

We are a nonprofit, no-kill animal shelter comprised mostly of volunteers. We take in cats and dogs from local shelters and the public who can no longer care for their pets. Each of the volunteers at FMAR has a tremendous amount of love for animals and simply wants to do what they can to ensure that as many animals as possible find a forever home. Until then, each animal has a home at FMAR indefinitely.
