Fannie came into animal control as a stray. She is a sweet and smart little gal about 2-1/2 year old. Our best guess is that she is a chug, a chihuahua pug mix. Fannie is an active dog who enjoys playing with small sized dogs with nice dispositions. She's smart and a bit stubborn. She loves basking in the sun and doesn't want to come in when called. She will be a good student and will benefit from going to training as will her family,
Fannie is house trained and pee pad trained. That being said, all dogs need to learn a new routine and there will be some mistakes while the learning curve develops. Fannie is a vocal gal with a rather loud voice. If you are noise sensitive she is not the dog for you. Because she is vocal we want to see her placed in a home with a yard rather than a condo/apartment setting.
Fannie is about 2 -1/2 years old. and fully vetted, She has been spayed, received age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and is heartworm negative, Subsequent vaccines are at the expense of her new family.
She is on the hunt for her own completely committed family, Dogs can live to be 20 years old so she wants to be sure her family is all in for better or for worse! Her adoption donation is $600

To adopt any animal from Rescue Tails we require a completed and verified adoption application. Once we can review the application, we can set up a meet and greet. We ask that all members of the household including pets are available for us and prospective pet to meet. Providing that goes well, we will set an appointment with you for a home visit. If all goes well we can proceed to the final step of finalizing the adoption.

Rescue Tails Animal Welfare is dedicated to rehoming pets from high kill shelters. We choose an animal one at a time and evaluate what issues caused the animal to end up in the shelter and address those issues. Most often we find behavioral issues and/or medical issues . We deal with whatever it is to the best of our ability and then place the pet up for adoption to a responsible pet guardian. It is our goal to prevent the pet from returning to the system again. We work with the pets and carefully match them to their forever homes.
