My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Guero - such a good boi!

Guero was spotted roaming the streets in a small community on the outskirts of Guadalajara city, everything pointed to him being recently abandoned by his owners. Sadly, that is a common practice when larger breed dogs are no longer cute puppies. Guero seemed to have come from a home environment very recently, as he was healthy, clean and very friendly.  Fast forward to today, Guero has been thoroughly checked by a Vet, brought up to date on all his required vaccinations etc. and spent some time with our rescue partner and has now been declared ready for adoption!

This handsome boy has all the characteristic features of his breed: intelligent, eager to please, warm and open personality with a friendly temperament towards people and dogs in social environments. As Labradors are, this social butterfly thrives in the company of people and joyfully soaks up any and all attention!

Guero would fit easily into a family with children, or even a sole owner who loves to adventure outdoors.  Guero has medium energy as a young adult dog, and would benefit from lots of play and walk time.  He'd be overjoyed to be your outdoor companion, but will still turn into an affectionate pile of love when you want to chill on the couch.  He socializes well with other dogs, interacting in doggy games very willingly so would also benefit from a dog sibling.  He wouldn't make such a good buddy for a cat sibling tho, so only a "no cat home" will be considered. He prefers to dine alone, but shows no other resource guarding.

He's happy to show off all his good manners; walking on a leash, riding in a car, crate trained and will adapt very quickly to where he's told to do his business (in a shelter environment, things are a little different but we expect him to catch on very quickly with potty habits)  All the hallmark traits of a well adjusted, well socialized and intelligent dog.

Guero longs for a future in a forever home, with people that will give this sweet boy all the love and affection he deserves!
