My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Aurora is a sweet, two-year-old cat who has been with us at the shelter since October 2023. She’s got a big personality and loves to chat—she’s a vocal girl and isn’t shy about sharing her thoughts! Whether you’re talking to her or just hanging out, she’s always happy to “talk back” and let you know how she’s feeling. When she’s not having a conversation, Aurora is all about relaxing. She loves curling up in her comfy bed or soaking up the sun. She’s definitely a laid-back kitty who enjoys her peace and quiet, but she also likes to be close to her people when she’s in the mood for attention. Aurora is a bit selective about her feline friends. She’s okay with other cats as long as they’re not too in-your-face. If they respect her space, she’s happy to coexist with them.
Aurora is spayed, up to date on all vaccines, FeLV/FIV tested, and microchipped to ensure her safety. She’s ready to find a home where she can relax in a sunny spot, enjoy some quiet time, and chat with her humans whenever the mood strikes. If you’re looking for a sweet, vocal kitty who enjoys a peaceful life, Aurora might just be the one for you!

More about this shelter

The mission of the Animal Rescue League of Marshalltown is to provide a safe haven for lost, homeless, and abused companion animals; to help reunite lost companion animals with their family; to find new homes for adoptable and abandoned animals; and to aid in strengthening the human to animal bond.

It is the dream of the Animal Rescue League of Marshalltown to have a community where no companion animal is left to starve and fend for itself; and where companion animals have a comfortable and loving place to life until a permanent home can be found.
