My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Fozzy is a 2-year-old pit bull mix who came to us as a stray and was briefly adopted, but sadly returned through no fault of his own. Now he’s looking for the perfect family to give him the love and attention he deserves!

Fozzy is a fun-loving guy who absolutely enjoys playing with tugs, balls, and chews, and he’s always up for a game of fetch! He’s cat-friendly, which makes him a great choice for a home with feline friends. Fozzy seems to get along well with other dogs, too – so if you have a dog, a meet and greet will be required to ensure they’re a good match.

It’s clear Fozzy has had some training, as he already knows a few commands, making him a quick learner who’s ready for more! His friendly, playful nature and eagerness to please will make him a fantastic companion.

Fozzy’s adoption fee covers his neuter, vaccines, microchip, heartworm test, and other treatments, so he’s ready to join your family today!

If you’re looking for a sweet, playful, and active companion, Fozzy might just be the perfect fit for you. Come meet him today and see if you’re the family he’s been waiting for!

More about this shelter

The mission of the Animal Rescue League of Marshalltown is to provide a safe haven for lost, homeless, and abused companion animals; to help reunite lost companion animals with their family; to find new homes for adoptable and abandoned animals; and to aid in strengthening the human to animal bond.

It is the dream of the Animal Rescue League of Marshalltown to have a community where no companion animal is left to starve and fend for itself; and where companion animals have a comfortable and loving place to life until a permanent home can be found.
