My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

#A5674150 Meet Mocha, the sweet 10-month-old German Shepherd and Doberman mix who’s as delicious as her name! With her velvety chocolate coat and caramel-dipped legs, she’s a total beauty. Though she’s a bit intimidated in the shelter setting, this young girl is resilient and ready to blossom into her best self with the right love and patience. Once she’s in a play yard, Mocha relaxes quickly and is all about meeting new people with a happy wagging tail! She’s still working on her puppy basics like leash skills, standard commands, and potty training, but this smart cookie already knows "sit" and is learning "down." But don’t worry - this snack-loving and eager to please little girl should be a breeze to train! Mocha is also vocal around some dogs, but always in a friendly, happy way—she could make a great little sister to any pets you have. Come check out this sweet treat and add her to your family today!

  • 10 month old German Shepherd and Doberman mix

  • 49 pound spayed female

  • Up to date on all shots and preventatives, so ready to go home with you today!

  • Came to Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on 1/10/2025 as a stray

  • definitely a sweet treat that lives up to her name - gorgeous velvety chocolate coat with caramel dipped legs

  • such a beautiful mix - we don't know how she ended up at the shelter!

  • pretty intimidated in the shelter environment, but is young and resilient and will really blossom into her best self with love and patience

  • once in the play yard with our volunteer, she easily relaxed and quickly warmed up to new people

  • needs all the puppy basics, like leash skills, potty training, and standard commands, but already knows sit and is also learning down

  • also looooves treats and is eager to please, so will be very easy to train more!

  •  vocal around some dogs, but in a positive way - walked by with a happy waggy tail, so could be a good little sister to any pets you may already have!
