Introducing Mistletoe, a medium hair tuxedo beauty. Mistletoe found herself in foster care over a year ago when she was picked up from a well-cared for colony. Mom was fixed and returned to the colony and all babies have grown and found homes—except Mistletoe. We are looking for a home or permanent foster home for Mistletoe that will allow her to be less stressed.
Unfortunately, Mistletoe was found to have a congenital heart defect. She has had two cardiology consults and our cardiologist confirmed that she can still live a decent life without any medication. She needs a calm home without much commotion or any animals to keep her stress levels minimal.
Timid Mistletoe is easily overlooked because you will never see her when you visit. People scare her. If you have ever wanted a cat without knowing that you own one, Mistletoe would be the perfect fit. Although she is shy, Mistletoe loves treats like a Churu and meal times! She even enjoys being groomed with a slicker comb if you are lucky to be graced with her presence. She is cat selective and does not do well with felines that are in her bubble. Mistletoe prefers to be left alone and will only interact with a cat when she is comfortable.
She is currently in a foster home with other cats that come and go. This can be very taxing on her mentally. Sometimes she even needs to be put in a pen to help her decompress. For this reason, we hope to find her a forever home that is understanding of her timid nature or a permanent foster home that fits the bill.
Mistletoe will be a challenge, but we have hope that with a patient person who understands shy, withdrawn cats, this beauty will blossom.
Mistletoe is about 10 months old, spayed, up to date with vaccinations and tested negative for Feline Leukemia & FIV.
