A 30 something man who was in between rehab stents and living with his parents decided he wanted a dog of his own. Without any warning the son brought home a 4 Month old huge, adorable, clumsy boxer mix named Kong.
Kong lived in the temperature controlled garage because he was too tall and clumsy to walk through the house without breaking anything. When the Son moved out, he didn't want Kong anymore.
The son's father began taking care of Kong. It was obvious Kong was abused by the son. (Son no longer allowed on the property) It didn't take long before love and friendship blossomed between dad and dog. After 5 years, he and Kong are besties.
10 days ago, Kong lost his best friend to a heart attack. His widow loves Kong but has Parkinson's.
Kong needs love & patience. He's may not be terribly smart, but he loves running and playing tug and "you throw the thing, I might fetch it". He's skittish, especially with new people (esp men). He would benefit from an obedience class.
