My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Kainan, a resilient and energetic kitten who is ready to find his forever home. Kainan was discovered by a Salvation Army volunteer with serious injuries—a lifeless right front arm and a numb tail. Unfortunately, the arm and two-thirds of his tail had to be amputated. However, this tough little guy hasn’t let those setbacks slow him down! Kainan is a bundle of energy, full of life and always on the go, despite his physical challenges.

He is incredibly outgoing and loves to play, making him the perfect fit for a family or individual who can match his lively spirit. Whether it's chasing toys or enjoying some quality cuddle time, Kainan's zest for life will bring so much joy to your home. His incredible spirit and playful personality show that nothing can hold him back, and all he needs now is a loving family who can provide him with the care and attention he deserves.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our 9LCR cats are not routinely tested for FIV and FeLV for various reasons, one being to keep the costs and hence the adoption fee affordable. This decision is based on studies that have found that only about 4% of cats are actually infected. The funds for testing are better utilized for our spay and neuter efforts of owned and community cats in order to save the most cats. However, testing can be performed upon request and need to be covered by the person interested in adopting.
9 Lives Cats have been spayed or neutered and have updated vaccinations. 9 Lives is run entirely on volunteers. Please give us 2-7 days to process your application. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us! Please fill out our application form found here: t.ly/38VV
Adoption fee is $70.00.

More about this rescue

We started 9 Lives Cat Rescue to find homes for cats that are homeless or need to be relocated.
We are a no-kill, non-profit group. Our cats live in foster homes until they are adopted. We spay & neuter every cat before they are adopted.
We fully support our local no-kill feral cat group who practices TNR (Trap, Neuter & Return).
