My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pele (pronounced Pay Lay, bears the nickname of a great soccer player because she loves to bat balls around with either paw, chase them down and strike them again. She is part of a litter born in early October in our courtyard to a mom who was feral when we started feeding her several months ago. The mom eventually moved her kittens to our back porch where we made sure they had comfortable and secure accommodations. All of them were sterilized in early January, and when snow and cold weather hit, we moved them all indoors. The mom stayed only long enough to be judged healed. The kittens, on the other hand, adapted quickly and well to inside living and now don't want to go outside, at least for any length of time.
In addition to her "soccer," Pele does not as readily participate in sibling play, often retreating when play gets a little rough. Once she trusts you, she wants your attention at any time. She loves toys and treats and sleeping on her owners' easy chairs.
