My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Jasper! Jasper is a big, sweet young man who can be a little shy during his first interactions with new people. He might even give a little hiss if he feels you are moving a too fast for him. However he is all talk and he means no harm! Once you show him that you are safe, you will win this big, fluffy bear over in no time. This macho man has the cutest, most tiny meow when there’s food involved. He coos and head bumps when he knows it’s feeding time. He cannot resist wet food and Churu treats so we can really use this to our advantage to help Jasper quickly become friends!

Jasper is extremely active, and he loves to chase all kinds of toys. He’s a very tall kitty and he really uses his reach when he’s playing. His favorites are wand toys with feathers and he will show off his athleticism in a heartbeat. He’s a little bit of a goofball when he really gets into the game, as no surface is a challenge for him to scale to catch his toy prey. Jasper absolutely loves playing with his brother and foster friends as well! Jasper is also a cat nip enthusiast. His happiest is playing on a cat nip mat and rolling around while purring and cooing.

Jasper would do best with a family willing to start him off in one small room and give him a little time to adjust at first. He would do best being adopted with another cat - perhaps one of his foster friends? Small kiddos might be a bit overwhelming to him, but he'd likely do OK with older, cat-savvy kids. We are not sure yet how Jasper is with dog friends.

Jasper is estimated to be about 11 months old. He has been neutered, dewormed, flea treated, microchipped, vaccinated, and has tested FIV/FeLV-. Are you ready to give this big cougar the loving home he deserves? Please apply today!

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

Typically we talk a little with potential adopters to find a cat who is a good fit before sharing the application.

2.

Approve Application

We check over the application including checking vet references and doing landlord checks.

3.

Interview

We spend more time chatting with the adopters to specifically go over any questions from the application and details about the specific cat.

4.

Meet the Pet

Potential adopters have a meet and greet with the cat or kitten in the foster home.

5.

Sign Adoption Contract

At the meet and greet, if all goes well, the adoption contract can be signed, the fee can be paid, and the pet can go home!

6.

Pay Fee

7.

Take the Pet Home

Additional adoption info

We try to do our best to make sure we find good fitting, responsible homes, without wasting a lot of our time. Our app has a lot of screening questions which help eliminate potential adopters who might not be serious (they usually just don't return the app), or not a good fit, which is why the in depth interview happens once the app is returned.

More about this rescue

We are a small but dedicated 501c3 nonprofit cat rescue specializing in making one person's garbage kitten another person's forever cat.

Our mission is to reduce feline suffering and overpopulation using a combination of TNR and adoptions. We foster and socialize whenever we have the resources to do so, including behavioral cats and kittens who might otherwise just be candidates for TNR.
