Take the Pet Home
This helps Adopt Korean Rescue - Toronto with pet care costs.
Lorel will be arriving on January 29th at Vancouver Airport
Meet Lorel, a one-year-old spayed female Jindo mix with a soft beige coat and a petite 3.4kg frame. This sweet girl was rescued from a city shelter just before the euthanasia, and she’s now ready to find a loving home that will help her thrive. Lorel is a bit shy at first but warms up quickly with the help of treats. Once she’s comfortable, she’ll allow petting and even shows her belly to people she trusts. While she generally prefers women, she’s more cautious around men. Sudden movements or loud noises from children under 13 can make her uneasy, but she’s fine being gently picked up and carried by those she feels safe with.
When it comes to other dogs, Lorel gets along well with those her size or smaller, and she’s even curious about larger dogs. She’s not a fan of overly energetic playmates and tends to avoid dogs that bark or act pushy. That said, she’s polite and enjoys sniffing noses with calm, friendly pups. Lorel has also encountered cats during walks, and while she’s curious, she easily follows her person’s lead without making a fuss.
Lorel’s energy level is low to moderate. She’s a relaxed and calm companion at home but comes alive during outdoor activities, where she’s much more active and engaged. After a good walk or some playtime outside, she’s content to curl up and rest. On walks, she’s more interested in sniffing everything around her than simply strolling, so her pace can be a bit stop-and-go. She enjoys peaceful areas for walks but gets nervous around busy streets with lots of cars.
Lorel is a quiet dog who rarely barks, though she may let out a quick 10-second alert if someone rings the doorbell or a visitor arrives. She’s great in the car and remains calm when kenneled. Lorel is mostly an outdoor potty dog, making her easy to manage at home. With her gentle, curious nature and love for outdoor adventures, Lorel is looking for a patient and understanding adopter who will help her build confidence and enjoy life to the fullest.
