Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Dear loyal followers who have somehow managed to resist adopting yet another dog despite your obvious obsession with our fluffy butts...I sincerely apologize for what’s about to happen. Meet Mira. She’s available for adoption, and with those impossibly adorable markings and a personality that’s more magnetic than your willpower—well, let’s just say, we’re about to test the limits of your self-control. Good luck!
Mira is from our Fourth Wing litter (yes, it’s as epic as it sounds—grab this book, catch up, thank us later), and she’s a 4-month-old Great Pyrenees mix. Now, let’s be clear: Mira is the puppy you absolutely do not want to pass on unless you enjoy fighting the overwhelming urge to adopt the sweetest, most chill puppy you’ve ever met. Seriously, this girl is the embodiment of laid-back vibes—so calm, she might as well be a professional meditator. But don’t mistake her zen vibes for laziness. When there's fun to be had or an adventure to embark on, Mira’s the first to show up, ready to jump into whatever chaos the other dogs are planning. She’s not the “must always be doing something or be the center of attention” type—though, to be clear, she’d never turn down a good petting session. She’s good with other dogs, and while we haven’t had her around purrinators or children yet, we’re pretty confident she'd charm the socks off them too. She’s one of those pups who meets new people with all the grace and manners of someone who’s been taught the art of charm since puppyhood and considering she is still a puppy I guess she was just born a prodigy. Seriously, she’ll plop down in front of you, lean into your leg for pets, and wait for the inevitable stream of compliments about how soft her coat is and how her markings are, without a doubt, a masterpiece of nature. So, if you're ready to lose the battle against your self-control, we present to you... Mira. Enjoy!
Mira is the kind of dog who knows the real meaning of luxury—like hitching a ride in a four-wheeled machine. Yep, she’ll just plop herself down, ready for a road trip. Of course, no one’s perfect, and while we’re pretty sure Mira is close, you might find some drool on your seats because, well, what is a road trip without a little bit of slobber?! This girl LOVES making new friends. Picture her strolling through the local café, collecting compliments on her coat and stunning markings like some sort of canine royalty. Or taking her to the pet store, where she’ll have everyone fighting for the chance to pet her while you’re just trying to buy a new squeaky toy. And when it’s time to relax at home? She’s the queen of the couch, snuggled up for an epic binge-watch session while your favorite shows run. Or maybe she’ll be hiding in a fort with the kiddos while you try to salvage what’s left of your sanity in the kitchen. But don’t get too comfortable—Mira’s also a fan of walks. So, even if you’re the type who prefers to never leave the couch, you’re gonna have to drag yourself outside for a stroll with this lovely lady. The upside? She already has great leash manners, which, given that she was once abandoned and didn't know anything about the good life, is seriously impressive. Her day? A perfect balance of light play with her dog friends, some serious napping, cuddles, and toys...but only when someone else thinks to introduce the idea to her. And fetch? Yeah, don’t even dream of it. She’ll chase that toy like it owes her money, but don’t bother waiting for her to bring it back. You’ll be left standing there, staring at her as she casually contemplates the meaning of life.
Alright, let’s talk living situations. While Mira’s got all the qualities of an apartment dog—she’s chill, sweet, and has that face that just says, "I’m a great roomie"—let’s be honest, it wouldn’t be her first choice. She’s more of a “big yard, endless adventures” kind of gal. Now, she’s not a huge barker—yet—but as any self-respecting Great Pyrenees will tell you, they’re blessed with the gift of vocal cords. So, if you’re thinking about putting her in an apartment, just keep in mind that when Mira becomes fully aware of the world around her, you might be living with a very vocal roommate. As for chewing? Well, she hasn’t been too destructive so far, but let’s not get carried away. That’s not us giving you the green light to skip puppy-proofing your place. She’s young, she’s curious, and she’s definitely looking for new things to investigate. Better to keep those temptations away and save yourself the "how could you?" monologue, because—trust us—you’ll be giving that speech to yourself, not Mira, who, remember, is still figuring out the world and definitely didn’t know any better. ;)
So, if you’ve managed to make it this far without immediately submitting an adoption application, congratulations on your restraint. But let’s be real—Mira’s waiting to ruin your self-control, so why not give in? If you’re ready to let her steal your heart, just fill out an adoption application at https://www.pyrpawsandfluffytailsrescue.com/adoption-app. Once we have it, we can send it over to her foster family—because, believe it or not, we’re not just going to let Mira hop into any random car that rolls up. She’s got standards.
And don’t get too comfy because you’ll need to swing by Claremore, Oklahoma to pick up your new best friend. Yes, that means packing up and traveling (but don’t worry, it’s worth it).
