Ashleigh and her sister, Mari Kate entered the shelter from the city kennels on 07/18/2010. Ashleigh is a sweet black/white terrier/pointer mix with a solid black face. She weighs appx 20.6 lbs (08/05/10) and is appx 8 months old and is heartworm NEGATIVE!!!! YEA!!!!!!. Estimated DOB 12/18/2009. Ashleigh was very shy when we first picked her up - she had lived her entire life in a tiny pen with very little human contact. We placed her in our shelter 'buddy' system and Tori has been working hard with her. She is now well socialized and we are so proud of her! She is a submissive, sweetheart who is comfortable in her crate. She is crate trained. She walks on a leash now - something she learned so quickly after never having been on one before! She loves to snuggle, or sleep in a little ball at the end of your bed. She'll always have a reserved nature but when she knows you're 'friend not foe' she turns into a sweet, playful pup! Ashleigh wants to be with you - wherever you are and will follow you to the ends of the earth when she has bonded with you. She is cat safe and good with kids - tho they need to be taught to give her a little time to come to them... We don't think she will be much bigger than she is now. Please help us find them a home!
