My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I’m Dewey. I have a bit of a rough start, but I’m ready for a fresh chapter. I was abandoned at a local pet store in a carrier with a note, and while it wasn’t the best way to start, I’ve been given a chance to find a loving home. The clinic took great care of me during my stray hold, and now I’m looking for someone special to help me feel safe and loved again. I’m a sweet kitty, but I’ve been through a lot, so I’ll need a patient person who understands I need time to trust again. A quiet home would be ideal for me—somewhere I can relax and come out of my shell at my own pace. I get along fine with other cats, but a home without young children would be best for me. I also have a condition called Cystitis, so I’ll need to be on prescription UR food for the rest of my life, unless a vet tells me otherwise. But don’t worry, I’m worth the extra care! I’m a loving kitty, and once I feel comfortable, I’ll be your loyal companion, ready to share purrs and soft headbutts. If you have the time and patience to help me adjust, I promise I’ll reward you with all the love I have to give.

I'm available at the Chuck and Don's in Maple Grove. Fill out an application online at www.aohrescue.org/cat-adoption-application to start my adoption process!

More about this rescue

Angel of Hope Animal Rescue works with cats and dogs from animal controls and shelters. Prior to adoption pets are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines, cats are tested for feline leukemia, and dogs are tested for heart worm. At adoption we can help you determine if the pet is a good fit for your home and family. We will share their personalities and quirks with you to help you decide.
