Maizie Mae was found in a nearby community. She began sleeping on a family’s back porch. They lived on the edge of town and during the day Maizie Mae would run in the cornfield but come back at night for a warm spot to sleep plus eat. They tried to find if she had an owner after a month of trying they didn’t have any luck and reached out to a volunteer at ACR for help. The temps were dropping and they knew she needed a safe indoor place.

Shortly after they brought Maizie Mae came in they started seeing another cat. They believed this was the brother and quickly he adapted to also living on the back porch. After a trip to the vet she also believes they are siblings but can’t not guarantee they are related.

Maizie Mae is a beautiful gray tabby girl. She’s has a passive personality that loves humans. She gets along great with other cats. She likes cat toys but her true joy is watching out the window. She loves to snooze in the rays of the sun or watch as the neighbors walk by. She’s also adapted to watching her favorite Disney Jr tv shows but of course most of the cats love watching Bluey at their fosters home lol They all love Bingo & Bluey 🥰

Maizie Mae has been introduced to kids of all ages and has done well. She loves getting pets and head scratches.

If you adopt littermates, not only will they keep each other entertained and happier, we'll also give you a reduced adoption fee! Please inquire if interested in adopting a sibling or foster buddy.

All of our adoptable kitties are current on shots, microchipped, altered (if old enough), and litter box trained.
