Mateo came to ACR from a nearby community after being found living on the edge of the community in a cornfield. He found a warm place on their back porch during the cold nights. They networked to try and find if he had an owner and after a month of no luck they reached out to a volunteer at ACR to help find him an indoor only home.

Mateo came to live with one of our fosters and has quickly adjusted to life indoors. He loves head scratches and his cat hut for napping. He an absolutely loves his interactive ball toy. He’ll lay next to it and push the balls back & forth. He truly loves his toy!

He has taken a little extra time to adjust to learning how to get attention from his humans. He tends to reach out and demand with a soft pat that need wants your attention. But he’s just the sweetest boy.

He’s quite the purr machine and once he starts putting everyone in the room can hear him!
