My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Would you like to watch a kitten play in your home all the time? Do you want a kitten but not an actual kitten? Are you a one-cat person looking for that one cat? We may have the perfect toy-obsessed pet for you to take home! Dolly Purrton can not make friends with other cats. She can’t seem to tell when a look or approach is friendly or hostile, so she reacts badly whenever another cat looks her way. (If you have another cat, please only apply if that cat is unable to ever make eye contact with her. She will attack.)

Fortunately, Dolly can keep herself occupied without feline playmates because she LOVES toys. Forget treats or catnip; toys are where it’s at for this playful girl.

Dolly Purrton was born April of 2023. She is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations.  As always, cat/kitten adoptions are free will donation to approved applicants. ****The first step in the adoption process is to complete the application at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org****

Go meet their pets

Check out all of our pets online at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org or send in an application to meet a specific pet! Once our shelter is open for operation stop in during our open hours to visit with a fuzzy friend in person.

More about this shelter

The ECAS is an all volunteer, no kill shelter. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome pets in need due to neglect, abandonment, abuse or from simply not being wanted! We started in 2010 due to a need in our community. We are currently a foster based organization and we are currently building our new shelter facility. We work hand in hand with other rescue and shelters in the area to help out when and where we are needed.
