My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Imagine it’s 1984 and you just got the newest Sony Walkman- the yellow one. You know the one. You’re strolling down the street, wire from the headphones flapping in the wind, foam earphone covers warming your ears, blasting “When Doves Cry” by Prince while wearing your acid wash denim jacket. You’re on top of the world.

Fast forward to now- the Sony Walkman has been replaced by iPhones and air pods (though we hope you still have that jacket). Well, there’s a way to recreate that “on top of the world” feeling from so long ago. It still involves a Walkman, but this one has fur, a very boopable snoot, and is man’s best friend!

Walkman is a friendly senior citizen (not quite old enough to remember 1984 though). He’s done with all those pesky puppy shenanigans and is looking to be your reliable and faithful companion. On a recent daytrip away from the shelter Walkman explored Tucson and was described as energetic and sweet. He did well in the car and enjoyed exploring the great outdoors.

While he may be nine years old, don’t let his age fool you- Walkman still has plenty of pep in his step and is ready to join you on all of your adventures- just like the portable purveyor of music he’s named after!

Walkman LOVES his human friends, but he’s also been playful, social, and easygoing when meeting other dogs. He’s ready to revolutionize your life just like the Sony Walkman revolutionized the way people listen to music! Come meet him today!!
